brand spankin' new blog design

I've been meaning to redesign the ol' bloggity blog for a while. While I liked my old set-up, the design was a little busy, and the text was sometimes hard to read against the background. I worked up the original design before I really knew how this blog would function, and what worked in the beginning isn't what works best now. So...

Welcome to the new space!

(Please extend some grace as the dust settles around here as I work through quirks and add features, like social media buttons, in the coming days. If you happen to visit while I'm in the middle of a redesign phase, you should still be able to access everything, but you may notice some pretty elements coming and going as I get them just right.)

All the pictures above are from our church. Our church's special needs ministry - called Access Ministry for birth through high school and the Joy Class for adults - includes people with various disabilities across the lifespan, and our volunteers are a diverse group too. While the banner doesn't include every segment of our ministry, it does capture some of the God-ordained beauty in fellowship among different parts of the body of Christ.

So, please, poke around. If something isn't working or a sentence is incomplete somewhere, let me know. If you miss something I had on the old site, leave a comment about it - it might be coming back, or I might not even realize it's gone. And even if you don't have any suggestions, I'd love to know what you think.

Thanks for visiting!

    1. I have to admit, Gillian, that my desire for a clear layout started with blog envy over your website. :)

    1. Thanks, Jenelle! That was the biggest reason for the change. I like the clean, crisp look this place has now.
